2021 was a record year in terms of the number of large-scale announcements about the unique products of Ukrainian startups in the global IT industry. Ukrainian companies People.ai, Grammarly, GitLab and Firefly Aerospace have added to the list of global startup unicorns by capitalization. It is quite natural that almost every startup founder dreams of such success, often forgetting about the accompanying legal issues. Кожна особа рано чи пізно стикається з питаннями спадкування. Відповідно до ст. 1216 Цивільного кодексу України (далі — ЦК України), спадкуванням є перехід прав та обов'язків (спадщини) від фізичної особи, яка померла (спадкодавця), до інших осіб (спадкоємців). При цьому, за загальним правилом, до складу спадщини входять усі права та обов'язки, що належали спадкодавцеві на момент відкриття спадщини і не припинилися внаслідок його смерті (ст. 1218 ЦК України).
